I'm gonna cheat a little. It's been so long since I've posted that I'm going to do several from the dates that I remember. Starting with Thanksgiving. Who knows....this may be one of only two since Thanksgiving and Christmas are the two biggest things that happen between November 20th...when I posted last...and New Years.

I DO have to say first that I've GOT to catch up on my blog reading. I know that Tom K. over at Patterns of Ink has some great stuff that I've not been able to read so that'll be my first stop. I feel like I've been ignoring everyone and if you're reading this and I haven't commented on your blog lately I'M SO SORRY. I'm determined to get caught up....it's been a crazy few months here but I'll fill you in on that later. NOW,
Thanksgiving was awesome. We went to my moms hometown where my grandparents have 400 glorious acres of hills and trees and pastures. My Aunt Debra Sue has a beautiful old house on the river there and thats where we had our turkey and dressing. Yum.

Ian and Jake playing football in my Aunt Bobbies front yard on the farm.

This is the sweetest woman you will ever in your life meet....my granny. Isn't she the cutest?

Why is it so hard to get kids to smile and take a decent picture? Somebody please tell me.

Three generations....Granny, Mom, Me, Gina(above me), and Leigh Ann.
Below....Me, Gina, Leigh Ann.

Look at this handsome boy! So he's got his hat on wrong but thats ok. He's still a cutie!
Jake and Comet.

My beautiful neice Sara (without the "h"). I have a habit of adding an "h" sometimes. I'm getting old and senile.

Me and Mom

Bill (Saras beau), Sara, and my nephew Ben.
Sidenote....one of the songs I listened to alot this Christmas (because the boys loved it so darn much) is Bad Little Boy by Ray Stevens....fits my boys perfectly. Anyway, in this song Ray Stevens is talking like a little boy and how bad he is so he's not getting anything for Christmas. Anyway, in it he says 'Bill' the funniest way so I've made fun of Bill every time I see him saying his name like RS does in the song. We've ALWAYS called him Billy but now that he's a high school grad and in college I guess he thinks he's bigger and needs to be called BILL. Ok...too long an explanation but it's for me ok? The future...when I come back and say 'hmmm what did I talk about on Dec.30?'

My sweet feisty little Jack Russell, Comet.

Mom, my stepdad Wayne and all the kids and grandkids.

My uncle Allen taking Papaw home. He'd had a big day.

After we stuffed ourselves with food we walked Comet down to the river to sniff around and he ended up IN the river swimming around. He loved it. I don't think he's ever been in anything deeper than the tub or the ditch outside but he had a blast. It was so cute.

Two cuties...Bella and Delaney.

My first two babies...ok so I didn't give birth to them but I helped raise them. Ben and Sara. They make my heart ache they're growing up so fast. Ben's 18 and Saras 16!

One more time....Bill (Billy) and Sara.

Poor Comet was tuckered out. He was watching out the window and barking as usual and then I turned around and he had fallen asleep with his chin on the window sill. Now THAT sums up the day. We were thankful for the full bellies, fun with family, and the naps afterwards.
