Ian's had baseball and basketball, he also turned 16 (Lord help us all). Don't get me wrong. He's a good driver considering he is JUST 16. I didn't think I would be ready for him to drive but the day after he got his license I sent him on his first trip to Publix for eggs. Yep. I'm ready. I'm not CRAZY....I still pray for him every time he leaves the house. Now he's all over the place and I was NOT ready for that. I had forgotten that's what would happen next. "Mom, I'm going to play golf" "Mom, I'm off to work" "Mom, do you want anything from Sonic" "Mom, I'm going to spend the night with Alex" "Mom Mom Mom". Nope I wasn't ready for that. It's the time where he really starts pulling away and living his own teen life that doesn't involve me driving him everywhere. THAT'S scary. I have to learn to trust that God has a plan and He wants the best for my little boy. Uh....young man.
Jacob has had Karate and friends. At 12 what else is he going to do? He'd still rather cause trouble for his older brother than anything else. That's his fun. He's changing too. He's getting taller and he's starting to look less of a boy and more of a young man too. Mohawk and all. My friends make fun of me because I'm so calm about them growing up...but then something sneaks up on me and I'm like "where did the time go?" Anyway, he went with Ian and Ben to a baseball tournament in Sevierville a couple weeks ago and when he saw this truck he just HAD to have his picture made by it. He loves monster trucks.
Owen...is Owen. He has been all over the place. Inside and outside. He hasn't grown at all...well, he IS getting a bit taller but he is still such a little boy and I'm loving it. He's so funny. Really. They'll say anything at this age won't they? And like Jacob, his fun is mainly causing trouble for his older brother.
Something happened to the garden this year. For some reason, we got grass. Not weeds really. GRASS. Weird.
Hope you're having a great summer!
