The roads are better so I got out this morning to take Comet to the vet, make a trip to Starbucks for a latte and then to Donut Country to get donuts for the boys. As I was sitting in the car line waiting for my donuts I thought about how peaceful it's been for the past few days. Why is that? There have been bumped cars, major wrecks, power outages not to mention frostbite and the beginning of sickness from the cold wet all over the place. But my house has been quiet and peaceful. We went to the church to sled down the hills and we played in the snow together...well, I took the pictures. We snuggled in front of the tv to watch movies, we ate a fair amount of cookies and probably had too much hot chocolate. But it's been awesome being together with my family. We've all been stuck in one place together with no hustle or bustle to get here or there. Like we're the only ones in the whole world with no worries.
I enjoyed these few days being stuck together with my family. It was nice. Now the snow is slowly melting and the roads are clearing...tomorrow the boys will probably go back to school and the normal days will start again. (sigh)
Psalm 133:1 says 'How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity!'
I say AMEN to that!
Have a blessed day!
