Winter Jam

Ben and I took the boys to the Winter Jam concert a couple weeks ago at The Sommet Center in Nashville. We had a ball! There were roughly 400 people that went with our church to see our own amazing Russ Lee and NewSong.....not to mention Third Day, Newsboys,
Tenth Avenue North, Fireflight, Tony Nolan,
Sidewalk Prophets, Robert Pierre, and Revive
.

This is The Sommet Center below...

Our wonderful Student Minister Jeremy Lee
and his sidekick Tyler Clem.

Jeremy with his bullhorn.
You really should know this guy.

This is a view of the park across from The Hilton and
The Sommet Center where we all met.

My two youngest, Owen and Jacob

Jacob and Breanna looking at the camera and
Katy and Ian HIDING from the camera. Ugh.

Our church crowd....

there were so many of us!

Katy finally looked...

All going in together and being led by...

the man himself.... Russ Lee.
We love you Russ!

Our other awesome Student Minister Brian Owen
making sure we have our dots on...that means we paid.

Finally a good picture of Ian and Katy!

Don, Bre, and Taylor

Don and Bre...Kathy we missed you and the boys!

The place was PACKED.

NewSong had all these huge balloons floating around all over The Sommet
and when they popped confetti went everywhere. It was so cool.
This is NewSong above...Russ is incredible leading worship at church but
WHO KNEW he could bust a move with the best of them in concert.
It was awesome watching him perform!
This is the stage from our seats...we took up two whole sections.

More confetti...
They started singing Jesus Freak and everyone started screaming they were so excited but there was no excitement like when Toby Mac himself surprised everyone by showing up to sing it with them. It was like a freakin' Beatles concert. Even the guys were screaming like girls.
Michael Tait(Newsboys lead vocals) and Toby Mac below.

It was an AWESOME concert. Luckily we took two cars though...by 9pm Owen was exhausted so I took him home. We missed Third Day. :O( But better to let Owen sleep...he was out before we got to the interstate. We had a blast and will most definitely go again next year. If YOU get a chance to go to a Winter Jam concert, for $10 to see some INCREDIBLE groups you really should go!

Hope you're all having a blessed week!

Tracie
