Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God--this is your spiritual act of worship.

We just finished watching The Passion of the Christ. I remember the first time I saw it I cried for several hours after the movie was over and literally felt ill for the next couple of days. Seeing it today has left my eyes red and puffy again. Just watching and remembering once again what our Savior went through to save us in such blatant detail...even though this was a movie...renews my strength to push forward through so much evil and turmoil that this world holds...renews my strength to continue to work toward the Great Commission....
After Jesus Christ's death on the cross, he was buried and resurrected on the
third day. Before he ascended into heaven, he appeared to his disciples in Galilee
and gave them these instructions:
Matthew 28:18-20 Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven
and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all
nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the
Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And
surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." (NIV)
This section of Scripture is known as the Great Commission. As the last recorded personal directive of the Savior to his disciples, it holds great significance to all followers of Christ. ~Mary Fairchild

There are so many that have no idea what it means to love and be loved by Christ. So many that want to control their own lives instead of giving it over to Him. I pray everyday for 'key relationships' of mine that don't know how wonderful it is to be loved by Him.
We've been getting emails from our pastor leading up to Easter.
I especially loved this one...
“Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” -- 1 Corinthians 10:31

Steve Jobs is the CEO of Apple Computers and once in a team meeting he said, “We’re here to put a dent in the universe. Otherwise why else would we even be here?” If all Christians chose to be intentional with our time and energy with the same expectation that Steve Job’s challenged his staff, the world would be significantly different! Life is short and it has purpose! God did not place us here 100 years ago or 100 years in the future; God has given us this moment! We were born into this time for a specific purpose in a specific place with specific gifts. What are your gifts? What has God given you to impact this generation?
If we all live another 40 years, we only have 14,600 days left of living! Life is too short to sit on the sidelines! With the 14,600 number in mind, we must remember that we have no promise of tomorrow!
Whether you are a pastor, missionary, or accountant,
“whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.”
“whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.”
