Winter Storm - January 2010

We got snow!!!...and ice...but WE GOT SNOW! and it wasn't just a LITTLE BIT of snow but over 4 INCHES! That's a lot for us. A LOT let me tell you. We were all pleased as punch going to sleep last night knowing that we would wake up to the white stuff on the ground. It was already there yesterday but it just kept on snowing and was STILL snowing as we tucked ourselves in for some sleep. It was sleeting too but that wasn't the exciting part...we didn't care if the roads iced over. We wanted the snoooowww.

Comet was not real sure WHY his feet weren't sinking like they did yesterday.
He came back in the house.

We thought Ian would have to go to work but we found out he didn't
because of the weather. We decided to go out anyway. A little risky but
I DID drive my trusty JEEP AND I GOT TO DRIVE IT IN 4WD!
I was sooooooo happy!

This is a hill next to our church. When we got here there were already a
BUNCH of people here and more kept coming.

You can probably tell by the pictures that I was no where NEAR them...
I was in the warm jeep...with Ian...taking pictures from 'afar'. :O)

THIS was precious! This little girl was sledding in a clothes basket
and she had a football helmet on!!

Woops! Better move out of Owen's way!

Wonder how many times this makes for Ben?

There were all KINDS of sleds out there...clothes baskets,
garbage can tops, and this cute little shark.

That was cool.

Before we went home we went to Cracker Barrel for PANCAKES.
YUUUMMMMYYY!

Back in the neighborhood...

fluff mixed in to warm us up.

I think we're heading back to the church in a bit to do some more sledding.
Well, Ben, Ian, Seth(a friend of Ians) and Jacob are going. Owen and I
might have another cup of hot chocolate in front of the fireplace.
Now THIS ends a perfect family day.
