Girl Time

Me, Angel, & Janece at The Peddler

We had the best time in Gatlinburg...and we all really needed the break from reality. We always go and take scrapbooking stuff and I usually take paint and canvases to work on but most of the time we were there was spent vegging on the couches and watching movies. Not sure how much scrapbooking got done...maybe a couple pages. I DID finish birthday canvases for my niece, Emma Kate, though.

On the way there it started snowing and by the time we got to the cabin it was everywhere and it was BEAUTIFUL! The snow, for some reason, looked so different there. There were little snow bubbles in the trees and on the ground. Just beautiful.
Janece trying to remember the code for the cabin
This was funny....we stay in the same cabin every time we go to Gatlinburg. We get there and Janece had forgotten the key code to get in the cabin so we had to get back in the Jeep and sit there (cause it was warm) until we could get Stan on the phone to tell us how to get in!

We had a great time though...I love my girlfriends. It was so nice not to have to worry about getting up and getting ready to go anywhere. We wore our pajamas all day long and watched movie after movie. We're already talking about when we're going back.

Hope you're having a great week!

I AM SO EXCITED!!

In two days I leave for one of my FAVORITE places with two of my FAVORITE people in the world!

At least once a year Angel, Janece and I go to Gatlinburg for the weekend to scrapbook and watch movie after movie after movie. Ok so most of them star Johnny Depp but we DO watch a lot of OTHER movies also.

Thursday morning after I drop the kids off at school we leave and start the schedule that we have perfected over the past few years. A quick stop at Sonic for our Large Diet Coke, Diet Dr. Pepper, and Coke..usually with a BLT for breakfast...and we're on the interstate for the 2+ hour drive to and through Knoxville. By the time we reach Exit 407 we are giddy because we know that in a very few minutes we will be stopping at one of our favorite places off the interstate...The Beehive. Sooo much fun! From The Beehive to lunch at The Olive Garden. From The Olive Garden to The Scrapbook Store. From The Scrapbook Store to the cabin!!! We'll unpack and set up our scrapbook tables and then later we'll get ready for our one night out for an awesome dinner at The Peddlar! We LOVE this place! They have THE BEST grilled shrimp! After that we are in our pj's for the rest of the weekend. No serious conversations just plain ole rest and relaxation.

Let the countdown begin!!

Hope you're having a great day!
